i cannot think of anything bad about this app. its fun to use, easy, well designed and fast. i explored everything on this app and so far its been good without any bugs whatsoever. worth my $5. thumbs up!

Not bad if you like their presets, but not all that user-friendly and the text bubbles are one-size only…pretty small. Doesnt allow for much manipulation. You pretty much have to accept its limited functionality. I would have appreciated a demo version, so I hadnt paid $5.99 for this…but then, if there was a demo, and I realized how limited it was, I wouldnt have paid $5.99 for it...

It is a lot of fun and you can save your presets very easily and with great accuracy. The problem is when you save or export your documents. Sometimes, the result of your editing is not saved correctly. What I do now, is that I Grab my final editing as a TIFF. This way, its the real thing that I am saving. Still, it is worth a 4 stars !

JixiPix youve done it again! This new app is fantastic, keep em coming. Unlike JixiPixs other apps, this one has an object layer that allows you to place both text balloons as well as emphasis elements (thud, pop, kapow etc.) on top of your images which you can resize or re-position as you choose. Running under Snow Leopard, it purred without a hiccup even after loading massively large files. What a pleasure it was to get this app. My head is spinning with all the possibilities I now have in store for this app. As I said, keep em coming JixiPix.

I was very skeptical about purchasing this app so I decided to try the demo out. After trying it out I quickly brought the app. A must have!!! Great job JixiPix!!

I cant tell if the application is a good one or not. Every time I click on "NOIR" to see the options, the thing quits and dumps be back out to Finder. This is one application that is NOT ready for the app store, if it is this unstable. 5.99 totally wasted. How does something this unstable even get into the App Store to begin with? Doesnt anyone even check to see if it will even execute?

I am a fan of the jixiPic apps because they provide an opportunity to get creative with my photos. I particulary like this one since I can take a series of snaps and make them into my own comic book starring my firends and family. Instead of the same old boring vacation pix you can make up a crazy adventure book. And you can add captions to the pix. You know you always wanted to let your 382 BFFs on Fb know exactly what your dog is thinking. This app give you lots of choices and works very well. You can do most of the basic editing in iphote then use this app to punch up your masterpiece. Highly recommend this app as well as the other from this developer. Nope they are not paying me.

I am underwhelmed with this one. WHen the images are converted they turn out very poor quality; obviously, the photos placed in the App Ad were done by a graphic artist because this app does not make the converted images look anywhere near that level of clarity. Saving the image is a laborious process and one that creates at least two hidden images - meaning over time they will take up lots of space. Very limited palette for styles and special effect stuff. Save your money, this one is akin to those really attractove packages of goods you see in discount dollar stores - you know, the package looks just like "Oreos" but when you look close you can see the name is really "Noreos". Pop Dot Comics is the "Noreos" of the apps. ***** Update - I wrote the developers and received a polite, yet terse, email saying "Sorry you didnt like it" and then gave a link to a third party website with poor directions on trying to get a refund (not going to happen). Honestly, this is a very poor app and is a bait and switch. Save your money and do not buy this, it is poor quality.

Could someone please respond and tell me how to obtain a refund. This Pop Dot Comic ap is a complete rip off.

Im very pleased. But recongize this will not work well with EVERY photograph. Not even every GREAT photograph. Youll need something suitable to the task: something fairly simplistic and clear. A photo with lots of different things going on, heavily detailed, without a real center of focus, will just look even worse because of the overdone graphic filters. Remember that your photo must be something that should be in the comics (or a newspaper photo) to look genuine as comics or newspaper. That said, great variety in satandard settings, so theres plenty of opportunity to fine-tune (or mess up) your creative genius. Easy to use right out the box; I didnt read a word of instruction and dove right in. If I could add photos, Id show examples of great and not-so. Sorry, but youre on your own. Have fun. I am. Oh, and saving an image? File/save photo. Not that difficult. But did, though increase the file size almost 2fold with no change in image size.

Looks nothing like the photos above. I tried all sorts of photos… I have very high quality photos, and none of them work well with this app. The photos above are decieving.

I’ve tried a whole bunch of pics and settings and they just all look like a bad rendition. I’ve used free comic makers on my IPAD that do a way better job.
